A short conversation

  3. あります。arimasu

Connect the patterns

Read number–counter combinations as words: 二つ is ふたつ and 二人 is ふたり. Use います for a person or animal and あります for a thing in the examples here.

Choose て-form changes from the verb group. 行く gives 行って. Add ください to make a request; a て-form on its own does not mark past tense.

Recall, check, then try again

Cover the dialogue and build a similar exchange with one changed detail. Then listen and compare your version with the taught pattern. Small changes expose what you can use without copying.

Try every question before revealing answers. A checkpoint is a personal study check, not a certification or a JLPT level. Review errors and repeat the speaking task after a break.

Showing an answer makes that question a practice item worth zero for this attempt. Retry with the answers hidden when you’re ready. If audio cannot play, use Show answer / text to practice by reading.
